Two heat exchangers extract energy from the sewage sludge, while two other heat exchangers use this energy to heat and maintain the temperature of the digestion sludge.<\/p>\n<h2>Design of heat exchangers<\/h2>\n<p>The entire design is based on the kW requirement, in this particular case 550 kW. In this case, we chose a type of heat exchanger that can handle large flow fluctuations (+\/- 50 %). One of the specific features of the Lackeby heat exchangers are the patented turning chambers, which ensure optimal sludge mixing and homogeneous sludge temperature. Good insulation ensures that heat losses are reduced to an absolute minimum. Moreover, the space requirement of these heat exchangers is down to a minimum, compared to other types of heat exchangers. An additional advantage is that the modules are stackable.<\/p>\n<p>L\u00e4ckeby sludge\/water heat exchangers are the result of innovative thinking and 40 years of experience in this sector. This range of devices was developed to meet very specific sludge heating or cooling requirements. The unique, patented design has resulted in a compact heat exchanger with minimal maintenance requirements.<\/p>\n<h2>Advantages of L\u00e4ckeby heat exchangers<\/h2>\n<p>L\u00e4ckeby heat exchangers are compact, robust, easy to install, easy maintainance and highly reliable. The round sludge channels reduce the risk of clogging. The innovative design with patented turning chambers ensures high energy transfer and low pressure losses.
