Läckeby recently supplied several heat exchangers for the US biogas industry. The favourable legislative framework boosted sustainable projects.
Carbon neutral by 2050
America wants to be carbon neutral by 2050. The potential for biogas production in the US is huge and can play an important role in achieving a carbon-neutral society. The industry converts unused food, wastewater and animal waste into renewable energy and soil products. In this way, it reduces the need for fossil fuels. According to authorities, if the US expanded its biogas infrastructure, it could generate enough renewable electricity to power 9.3 million homes.
Swedish heat exchangers
This project came about thanks to the successful collaboration between Lackeby and CleanTek Water Solutions. Thanks to their market position, Läckeby’s sludge/water heat exchangers, manufactured to the ASME standard, are in great demand and are supplied in large numbers to various biogas plants across the country.
