Gas scrubber for chemical storage tank

Impextraco is a Belgian company, based in Heist-op-den-Berg, specialising in the development and production of micro-ingredients such as vitamins, minerals and additives for the animal feed industry. The company provides cost-effective and sustainable solutions to improve the health and performance of farm animals. With facilities in Brazil, China and Mexico, among others, Impextraco operates in more than 90 countries.

Within the production facility in Heist-op-den-Berg, Impextraco has several storage tanks for chemicals needed for the production of their micro-ingredients. During the filling of the storage tanks, chemical vapours can be released that can be harmful to health and the environment. Moreover, these vapours can have negative effects on equipment at the site, leading to accelerated wear and tear.

To address this issue and ensure air quality, Impextraco installed a scrubber specifically designed to purify vapours coming from the storage tanks. This solution not only contributes to better air quality in the workplace, but also protects equipment integrity by preventing chemical vapours from affecting the machinery.

The chemical gas scrubbers installed by Task Industrial Environmental Engineering are made of polypropylene (PP), a material ideal for handling chemical vapours because of its corrosion resistance and long service life. The gas scrubbers are designed with ease of use in mind and are easy to operate. Moreover, they require minimal maintenance, contributing to efficiency and cost savings for Impextraco.

The advantages of the scrubber for Impextraco include:

  • Efficient vapour removal: the scrubber is designed to effectively absorb harmful vapours.
  • Equipment protection: by removing vapours from the air, the scrubber prevents corrosion damage to storage tanks and other machinery.
  • Durability: the gas scrubbers are made of durable materials such as PP, ensuring a long lifespan and minimal maintenance.
  • Customisation: Task provides solutions to suit the customer’s specific needs, such as tank size and the type of vapours to be purified.

With over 30 years of experience in industrial environmental engineering, Task Industrial Environmental Engineering is ready to support companies like Impextraco in finding efficient and sustainable solutions to their air purification needs. From design to installation and post-implementation support, we ensure that companies can comply with emission limits while optimising their business processes.
