Oil factory Lichtervelde specialises in the production of linseed oil and rapeseed oil, both valuable vegetable oils widely used in the food industry, animal feed and technical applications. The production process of these oils results in the release of odour-intensive fumes.
To prevent these odours from spreading to the surrounding area and causing odour nuisance to local residents, Oil factory Lichtervelde decided to invest in a two-stage scrubber with a capacity of 35,000 m³/h. This installation was developed and realized by Task Environmental Engineering, expert in odour control and air purification.
The scrubber was specifically tuned to the composition of the process air. Thanks to the two-stage design, different types of odour components are treated, resulting in a very high odour removal rate.
The plant is made of chemical-resistant materials, is equipped with automatic measurement and control technology and was designed to allow for quick and safe maintenance. As a result, the scrubber not only guarantees a long service life, but also continuous and stable operation, with minimal operational interruptions.
