BK Petfood Products is a manufacturer of wet and dry food for cats and dogs. In their modern production facility, the preparation of animal feed releases various fragrances, mainly during drying. To minimise odour nuisance to the surrounding area, BK Petfood invested in an air treatment plant.
Two-stage scrubber for industrial odour reduction
TASK Environmental Engineering supplied and installed a two-stage scrubber processing an air flow rate of 35,000 m³/h. This plant purifies process air in two stages, absorbing specific odour components in each stage. The result is a significant reduction in odour nuisance to the surrounding area and a plant that meets current environmental standards.
The two-stage setup offers additional efficiency and flexibility in dealing with complex odour profiles that are common in the food industry. Moreover, the system is designed with reliability and easy maintenance in mind, ensuring continuity of the production process.
