Antwerp Tank Cleaning NV specialises in tank and silo cleaning. Tank Cleaning cleans tankers, tank containers, bulk containers and bulk trucks. Such cleaning processes often release fumes that can be harmful to people and the environment.
To treat these emissions in a safe and environmentally friendly way, a compact scrubber was supplied by Task Environmental Technologies. The scrubber is suitable for degassing tankers with various acid vapours. The scrubber can easily be switched for neutralising alkaline vapours (e.g. NH3, amines). This makes the installation particularly flexible and future-oriented.
This compact scrubber is made of polypropylene. These small and compact scrubbers are specially designed for smaller air volumes.
Prior to the installation, field tests were carried out on the Antwerp Tank Cleaning site using a mobile test installation. This allowed the effectiveness of the air pollution control plant to be evaluated under realistic conditions. Based on these test results, a customised scrubber was designed, fully tailored to the customer’s specific emissions.
