Effluent from wastewater treatment plants often still contains valuable heat. This heat can be recovered using heat exchangers. Our heat exchangers were originally designed for highly viscous fluids such as sludge, but are also ideally suited for effluent. The relatively large pipes make the heat exchangers virtually immune to clogging by, for example, algae or sludge washout. Task and Läckeby have already installed several heat exchangers on effluents from wastewater treatment plants.
Läckeby heat exchangers are compact and clogging-insensitive devices. The heat exchangers are characterized by high heat transfer rates. The units can be installed indoors or outdoors and are available for a wide range of flow rates. They are designed with maximum heat transfer while minimizing space requirements.
The design also took great care to maintain the units. The hinged covers on both sides provide easy access to the heat exchangers. The high-quality Läckeby heat exchangers have been installed in water treatment plants and biogas plants for more than 20 years. These top quality compact heat exchangers stand for a high degree of heat recovery, long service life and easy maintenance.
