Heat exchangers from Lackeby Sweden to recover energy at the Albertstroom biogas plant

Lackeby’s sludge-water heat exchangers from Sweden are used to recover energy at the Albertstroom biogas plant in Grobbendonk Belgium.

In this plant, biomass – primarily organic biological waste – is fermented into biogas. The biogas thus formed is then used in a gas engine with cogeneration to produce electricity and heat. Albertstroom (Grobbendonk) is Europe’s largest biogas plant in which the most diverse types of waste streams can be processed. This plant is producing green electricity for 25,000 families.
